Enquiry, quotation and confirmation

Submitting an enquiry or opening an email draft does not reserve space. Land Rail will use the details you send to discuss availability and prepare a written quotation. Check names, dates, traveller numbers, route, accommodation, inclusions, exclusions, price and payment terms before accepting.

A booking is confirmed only when Land Rail issues written confirmation after the requirements stated in the quotation have been met. Do not purchase non-refundable flights or connected services on the assumption that an enquiry is confirmed.

Prices and payment

The website uses United States dollar per-person catalogue pricing or “On Request”. Your written quotation states the actual total, currency, payment schedule, accepted method and any supplier-specific conditions. Land Rail does not publish a universal deposit percentage or payment deadline on this page because those details must match the confirmed journey.

Traveller information and responsibilities

The lead traveller is responsible for supplying accurate names, ages, contact details and material mobility, dietary or health information needed to assess a request. Each traveller is responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccinations, insurance and entry requirements relevant to their nationality and route. Seek appropriate professional health and immigration advice in good time.

Permits, suppliers and availability

Park entry, mountain, gorilla, chimpanzee or other limited permits may be subject to availability and supplier rules. Accommodation, transport, guiding and activities may be provided by independent suppliers. A requested supplier or permit is not secured until specifically confirmed in writing.

Reasonable itinerary changes

Routes may require reasonable changes for safety, weather, road conditions, park rules, wildlife movements, border procedures or supplier disruption. Land Rail will communicate material changes when reasonably possible and use suitable alternatives where available. These conditions do not create a guarantee of a particular wildlife sighting, drive time or summit outcome.

Insurance and conduct

Appropriate comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, including cover suitable for the booked activities, medical care, evacuation, cancellation and baggage. Travellers must follow lawful safety instructions and behave in a way that does not endanger people, wildlife, property or the continuation of the journey.

Cancellations, refunds and concerns

The written quotation and supplier conditions control the cancellation consequences for a confirmed booking. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy. Raise any concern promptly so Land Rail and the relevant supplier have a reasonable opportunity to respond.
