DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA
You will commence your day very early in the morning after breakfast from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Lake Manyara national park located in the heart of Manyara region. The national park is a lovely location well known for flamingoes’ that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. You will have a thrilling game drive in this known national park. The lake is a perfect spot for bird watching since it inhabits over 300 bird species. Visitors, with strong taste for bird watching would definitely love this haven. Wildlife here is very diverse and expects to see baboons and may be tree climbing lion. Drive to karatu for dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.
DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA-SERENGETI
After breakfast you will depart to the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight at the seronera campsite.
DAY 3: FULL DAY SERENGETI
Our day starts with a morning game drive in Serengeti National park. Expect to see the crepuscular animals. Serengeti offers arguably the most striking game-viewing in Africa. Great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards hunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators. Dinner and Overnight at the campsite.
DAY 4: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO C. AREA
After breakfast you will proceed for a final early morning game viewing and later you will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. You will optionally have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. You will arrive at the Ngorongoro conservation area late evening .dinner and overnight at the samba campsite.
DAY5: NGORONGORO – ARUSHA
After early breakfast you will descend into the crater to view wildlife for a half day’s safari tour. Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot its prey. Picnic lunch and later depart back to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
