TRIP OVERVIEW

A Lake Manyara-Serengeti-Ngorongoro safari is the quintessential Northern Tanzania experience, offering an incredible diversity of landscapes and wildlife in a relatively compact area. This route is the most popular safari circuit in Tanzania for good reason, providing opportunities to see a vast array of animals, including the “Big Five,” witness the Great Migration (seasonally), and explore unique geological wonders.

Itinerary details

DAY 1: ARUSHA – LAKE MANYARA

Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport, then safari briefing and afterwards we depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Your first experience of safari will be the thrilling game drive through the vastness of Lake Manyara National Park, arrive in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park. Later you will exit the park and go to Manyara for Dinner and overnight at the Lake Manyara serena Lodge.

 

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI
After breakfast game en route to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro. Afterwards, we visit the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world – Serengeti National Park. The word ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’, which describes the park’s 5,600 square mile boundary. Yet for its sprawling area, the Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration which brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo. As the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas and jackals stalk their meals, we enjoy a picnic lunch in this open arena. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Full day game drive again in Serengeti National Park with packed lunch till late evening. Then drive back to your camp/lodge for Dinner and overnight. Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game-viewing. DAY 4: EXTENSIVE SERENGETI FULL DAY
Early morning breakfast then leave for the morning game drive in the Serengeti National park. The Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will have your picnic lunch and proceed for afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight at the serengeti serena safari lodge.
DAY 5: SERENGETI HALF – NGORONGORO
After breakfast, am game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch, until noon, where you will again have a game drive to see the beauty of this great park. Afternoon after lunch game en route to Ngorongoro Crater for Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight at the ngorongoro serena safari lodge.
DAY 6: NGORONGORO – ARUSHA
After early breakfast around 05:50am, descend down the crater at 06am for 6-7hrs game drive, with picnic lunch. We venture onto the crater floor for an up close at the residents of this World Heritage Site, and enjoy a picnic lunch here. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game-viewing all year-round. The wildlife here makes up a permanent population because grazing and water supplies are plentiful throughout the seasons. Afternoon drive back to Arusha., drop off at the Airport. End of Safari!!
